Aligned Love Couples Retreat

Break the pattern. Build the partnership.

Old wounds taught you how to love. Now learn how to love on purpose.

April 15-April 18, 2027

Most couples' getaways stop at candlelit dinners and a break from routine.
This one gives you that—plus the clinical depth to finally understand why you keep having the same fight, and the tools to stop.
Six couples. Four days. Asheville, North Carolina.

What This Retreat Actually Is...

Every couple is carrying two histories into the roomthe one you lived before you ever met each other.

Those old patterns are what's really driving the fight over the dishes, the silence after an argument, and the way you shut down or chase when things get hard.

This retreat is where you name those patterns, understand where they came from, and learn how to respond to each other as the grounded adults you are now — not the wounded kids you once were.

YES! WE WANT IN!

What You'll Leave With

Video Poster Image

  • A clear picture of both of your attachment styles and how they interact
  • A working understanding of how to move from reactive, protective patterns into grounded, adult connection
  • A body that knows how to settle back into safety with your partner — practiced through yoga and breathwork, not just discussed
  • Compassionate, trusting communication that replaces defensiveness with curiosity — the ability to hear each other's hurt without needing to win the conversation
  • A relationship where both of you feel safe enough to be honest, and secure enough to be soft
  • A shared relationship statement, written together, that becomes your compass for choosing each other on purpose, every day after this one
WE ARE ALL IN!

What each day looks like...

THURSDAY, APRIL 15

Check-in & Settle in

Get settled into your room and meet the other couples on the retreat.  We will mingle with fun ice-breaking activities and set our intentions for the retreat while enjoying late-night hors d'oeuvres.

FRIDAY, APRIL 16

Understanding the Pattern

After breakfast, we begin our first teaching, which includes naming each of your individual attachment styles and tracing how they collide, protect, and sometimes sabotage each other.

This is where you connect the dots between the wiring you brought into the relationship and the fight you keep having now.

We pause for a nourishing lunch at the house and take some breathing space to absorb what you've learned.

From naming the pattern, we move into breaking it — interrupting the cycles of blame and defensiveness that keep you stuck, and learning to meet each other as two grounded adults instead of two wounded children reacting to old wounds. You'll leave the session with language for the moment you're mid-fight, and a way back to each other.

After our day of learning and experiential activities, each couple can relax at the estate or explore Asheville.

Dinner is on your own tonight-go out as a couple or go out together as a group.

Return at your leisure & use the house as you please, knowing that we will have another full day of learning and experiencing the following day.

SATURDAY, APRIL 17

Making It Real

After breakfast, we review our learnings & experiences from the prior day.  We continue training in compassionate, authentic relationships, along with experiential exercises to anchor the learning.

We pause for a nourishing lunch at the house and take some breathing space to absorb what you've learned.

Couples yoga and breathwork bring insight into the body, so co-regulation becomes something you can feel and practice together—not just something you understand intellectually.

Breathing together, moving together, holding eye contact through a pose that asks you to trust each other— this is where compassion stops being a concept and becomes a felt sense in your nervous system.

Couples consistently find that once the body learns to settle with each other, hard conversations get easier too—you're no longer arguing from a place of threat, but from a place of safety.  And it is from there, from that place, that we practice compassionate communication exercises that will transform the way you connect verbally.  Let the fear fall away and allow yourself to fall more deeply in love.

After the workshops and experiences, feel free to relax at the house or meander through Asheville's streets.

Tonight, we'll have dinner at a top-notch romantic local restaurant, where we'll dine, connect, and laugh together.

SUNDAY, APRIL 18

Closing & Check-Out

The group comes back together one last time to reflect on what shifted, put words to what you're each taking home, and write your shared relationship statement.

Goodbyes are warm, not rushed — you leave as a couple, and as part of a circle of couples who witnessed each other's work.

WE ARE READY TO CREATE OUR ALIGNED LOVE
NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Leanne Jamison

For more than 20 years as a licensed professional counselor, I've sat with couples and individuals working to understand the patterns they didn't choose—the attachment wounds, the old protective habits, the fights that seem to repeat themselves no matter how much love is in the room.

My work with couples is grounded in Terry Real's Relational Life Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, two approaches I've trained in and use to help partners move out of blame and defensiveness and into real, felt safety with each other.

I've walked alongside couples at some of their hardest moments, helping them find their way back to each other with more compassion and less defensiveness than when they started.

In 2006, I also received mentorship and training in mindfulness concepts, skills, and practices. I have taught hundreds of classes on mindfulness in group therapy, as well as to clinicians at national conferences for social workers, certified counselors, and addiction counselors.

Now I bring my clinical depth, along with mindfulness and somatic practices, to help couples move from reactive, wounded patterns into grounded, intentional connection.

"My experience was nothing short of transformative.  Grateful beyond words for the souls who walked this path with me, the moments that reshaped me, and the energy that continues to flow through me."

Carrie Rengert

"The power of vulnerability and connection with amazing souls. The depth of the connections and being fully supported by women and a community that understands and "gets" you. The laughter and the tears....such a transformational experience!"

Whitney Fuller

"I can't just choose one favorite part of the retreat! Too hard. The hikes, the Breathwork session, the Journaling, the Let Go burning session, and the unstructured downtime where authentic, meant-to-be connections took place with each other."
